Business Analyst

  • Salary: Up to £50,000

We are seeking a Business Analyst with a background in IT solutions delivery. This role is ideal for a professional adept at managing a portfolio of projects and programmes of work in a largely outsourced environment. You will play a crucial role in influencing key decision-making and ensuring IT programmes and projects are identified, prioritised, and outlined to meet business needs. Day to Day of the role:

  • Analyse and document IT or business requirements in collaboration with project sponsors.
  • Work alongside IT Technical Architects to match requirements with appropriate solutions.
  • Manage external tender selection events for new technology or leverage existing procurement framework partners.
  • Write investment papers with concise summaries, project costs, associated risks, timelines, and financial forecasting for executive sign-off.
  • Facilitate workshops and record requirements through various techniques such as use case and process/workflow analysis.
  • Scope and size projects ready for investment and undertake as-is, to-be, and gap analysis.
  • Liaise with Technical Architects and Project Managers to ensure technical and delivery fit.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to identify risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Work with internal and external partners, maintaining commercial awareness.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • ISEB Business Analysis or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • ITIL experience or qualification is desirable.
  • Excellent facilitation and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage workload, and prioritise tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Determination and tenacity to drive key decisions from senior stakeholders.
